About Me

I graduated from USD with my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Social Work and then received my Masters in Counseling from SDSU.

I have 2 children Nick and Natalie.  Nick graduated last year from Brandon Valley and Natalie is a sophmore this year.   This is my 20th year in the district and I have worked at Brandon Elementary, Robert Bennis and part time at Valley Springs.  I have been the counselor at Robert Bennis since it  first opened.

In our household, horses, hockey and sprint car racing are all pretty important.  Nick has played for the Sioux Falls Flyers since kindergarten and his Dad,( Rob), continues to play hockey too.

As you can see by my web pages, horses are a big  part of my life.  Natalie and I have a strong love of horses.  We go to horse shows and 4H shows with our horses.  Natalie rides saddle seat which is a more formal form of English riding as well as hunt and western.   I am currently a show mom, helping with the horses, getting everything ready and cheering them on.  About 3 years ago we fostered and then adopted 2 weanling Classical Spanish Arabians that were part of group of 29 horses that were seized due to abuse and neglect.  They were in need of lots of care when we got them, but are now 2 happy, spirited horses that are a joy to be around.    The weanlings are now fat and happy and over 3 years old!  They have really grown!  We have started riding them and they are doing great!

Our summers are busy with sprint car racing and horses and in the winter the focus is on hockey.  We also have 1 dog and 3 cats that help keep us busy!
